Five startup companies founded by Korea University students or faculty successfully completed their exhibitions at the startup showcase ‘NextRise 2024, Seoul' held at COEX on Thursday, June 13, and Friday, June 14.

It is the largest startup fair in Korea, and is hosted by the Korea International Trade Association and KDB Industrial Bank. By participating in this fair, companies can promote business cooperation with various startup ecosystem stakeholders and discover opportunities for attracting investment.

The companies from Korea University participating in this exhibition were: R2C Company (CEO Kim Dong-ho, Business Administration '16), Space Jump (CEO Bae Sang-il, Business Administration '23), BLUELABS (CEO Jeong Sang-ho, Advanced Materials Chemistry '20), VIENCE (CEO Jeong Won-ki, Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering), and QSIMPLUS (CEO Noh Kwang-Seok, Research Professor at Ultra-secure Quantum Internet Research Center, USQI-ITRC). In total, five companies participated, with Korea University's Crimson Start-up Support Foundation encouraging participation by providing exhibition booths and operational expenses.

▲ R2C Company is developing ‘Pickply', a platform for collecting and generating deep data. ▲ Space Jump is creating ‘Sosang Space', a second-hand equipment trading platform based on an AI price estimation model. ▲ BLUELABS is developing an eco-friendly water purification agent using oyster shells. ▲ VIENCE is establishing a large-capacity biomedical image AI visual analysis platform. ▲ QSIMPLUS is developing S/W simulators for quantum communication.

Lee Byung-cheon, Director of the Crimson Start-up Support Foundation, stated, "For four consecutive years, the Crimson Start-up Support Foundation has been providing opportunities for excellent on-campus startups to promote themselves and to take a leap forward through the NextRise exhibition. We will continue to actively discover promising student and faculty startups in our university and provide unwavering support for their growth."
