21st-Century Digital Volunteer Activities for the Local Community by Engineering Students
Korea University and SK Hynix made an agreement to realize social values.
Korea University collaborates with SK Hynix to provide RPA technology to public service institutions.

Korea University and SK Hynix agreed to cooperate for social contribution activities. The agreement is about supporting local communities by providing RPA technology to institutions that further public interests (general welfare centers, youth centers, senior welfare centers, welfare centers for the disabled, for example).
* RPA: Robotic Process Automation

Korea University will develop an RPA software program through the KACE Creator Club (KACE) of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, and SK Hynix will provide the expenses for the installation cost of the RPA program and the project operation of the external research activities by KACE, as well as scholarships for the participating students.
*KACE Creator Club: KU AA Co-E Creator Club is a student club newly established in November 2020 in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. It is focused on the development of the RPA program.

RPA is a business process automation technology based on the idea of a software bot or artificial intelligence worker. RPA allows for the rapid and efficient automation of routine tasks. SK Hynix and Korea University will provide RPA education and implement a program development supporting project for public interest institutions (senior welfare centers, welfare centers for the disabled, women’s community centers, health family and multicultural family support centers, for example) in Seongbuk-gu, where Korea University is located, and in Icheon-si, where SK Hynix is located.

Korea University held the ‘SK Hynix-Korea University KACE Creator Club Social Values Realization Agreement Ceremony’ in the Main Hall of Korea University on April 8 (Thu) at 10:30 a.m. Chung Jin Taek, the President of Korea University; Lee Joon-ho, the Dean of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering; and Park Yong-gun, the vice president of SK Hynix attended the agreement ceremony.
