Top-Tier Education Fostering Future Regional Trade Leaders
The Division of International Studies seeks to achieve world-class, prestigious education aimed at establishing the next-generation education of international studies. Whereas international studies have focused on the interdisciplinary approach such as enhancing language skills and nurturing global mindsets, the second generation international studies will not only concentrate on fostering experts in regional trade collaboration who are not only capable of acquiring a second or even third foreign language but also equipped with regional expertise and experience based on local education. A total of sixteen professors, primarily full time, continue to demonstrate unparalleled achievements including the attainment of top-level SSCI results and top scores in lecture evaluation by Korea University. It has also established a close relationship with external institutions, including the UNDP Seoul Policy Center which is a part of the UN global network located in the International Studies Hall of Korea University.

The center not only allows students to have diverse internship experiences but also serves as a springboard that enables them to enter international organizations after graduation. Moreover, the Division is introducing five major tracks—International Development & Cooperation (IDC), International Commerce (IC), International Security & Peace Studies, Regional Studies (RS) and Korean Studies (KS)—to diversify the range of selection in major.
