Specializing in IT: Unique Among Prestigious Korean Universities
The College of Information and Communications has both first-rate professors and world-class students. Established as the only IT-specialized College among all prestigious Korean universities, it has continuously expanded and reformed the Computer Department, centered on software, and the Department of Computer and Radio Communications Engineering, based on wire and wireless communication technology. The College is turning into an institution that represents the Korean natural science field through IT specialization centered on the two departments.

The Division of Computer and Communication Engineering College, the only undergraduate department, is being run in tandem with the related fields of Brain and Cognitive Sciences. The Department of Computer and Radio Communications Engineering, and the Department of Brain and Cognitive Engineering are also established in the graduate school. Furthermore, the Graduate School of Computer and Information Technology consists of three departments: Digital Information․ Media Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer․ Information and Communication Engineering. The Graduate School of IT Convergence features the Embedded Software Department. Against this backdrop, the College is not only emerging as a hub of IT but also as the center of globally competitive interdisciplinary research, and education of excellence. It is developing with unprecedented speed as a research-based university that leads not only the IT of Korea but increasingly that of the world.
