Future-Oriented Nursing: Preparing for Super-Aged Society
Since nursing education began in 1942, the College of Nursing in Korea University has been addressing the educational changes that meet the environmental needs, through in-depth clinical experience and curriculum that combines research with study. The bold investment in education, support, and outstanding professors are the driving force of development and change in the College.
As the College of Nursing marks its 70th anniversary in 2012, the 3,500 alumni of the College are actively working in a wide range of fields, including research institutes and universities internationally and domestically, state administrative institutions, healthcare institutions, businesses, primary and secondary schools, centers for health promotion, senior nursing facilities and medical institutions. |

Korea will become a super-aged society in the future, and the change requires nursing talent with both expertise and hands-on experience. The College of Nursing conducts 40% of its classes in English and is pushing forward with globalization with activities such as exchanges among professors and students with universities in the US, Europe and Japan, and various student volunteer efforts in order to provide future-oriented nursing education that can meet the global standard.
